K9 Scouts of america

K9 Scouts of America is a nationwide program built to strengthen the bond between families and their dogs through adventure, training, and community. Inspired by the traditions of scouting, our mission is to guide dogs and their families on a journey of learning, responsibility, and fun.

We believe every dog deserves the chance to thrive as a well-trained, well-loved member of the family and community. Through structured lessons, merit badges, and troop activities, dogs and their handlers work side-by-side to achieve goals in obedience, communication, health, service, and outdoor skills.

• Training & Education – Our program is built around 24 structured lessons that align with AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) standards. Families learn practical obedience, safety, and teamwork with their dogs.
   
• Merit Badge Program – Similar to scouting, dogs can earn badges in areas like Navigation, Community Service, Grooming & Care, Responsible Ownership, and more. Each badge represents growth, achievement, and shared experiences.
   
• Troops & Community – Families can join or start local troops, creating a community of support, friendship, and fun. Troops meet regularly for activities, training, and service projects.
   
• Events & Adventures – From pack walks and campouts to parades and community service, K9 Scouts of America encourages dogs and families to explore the world together.
