Major K9 AKC Fit Dog Club

Welcome to the Major K9 AKC Fit Dog Club — where fitness meets fun for you and your dog! As a proud AKC Fit Dog Club, our mission is to promote healthy lifestyles for dogs and their owners through regular activity, community events, and structured fitness challenges.

The AKC Fit Dog Program encourages dog owners to commit to regular physical activity for both their own health and that of their canine companions. At Major K9, we take this a step further by hosting organized hikes, walks, fitness classes, and events that count toward earning AKC Fit Dog titles and ribbons.

• Tracking logs for AKC Fit Dog titles (Bronze, Silver, and Gold)
   
• Invitations to club-only events, photo contests, and fitness meetups
   
• Guidance on safe canine fitness and conditioning from Major K9 trainers
   

1. Dogs must be leashed at all times during club events unless in a designated off-leash area or directed otherwise by a trainer or event leader.
    
2. No aggressive dogs allowed. All dogs must be well-socialized and under control at all times.
    
3. All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and in good physical health before participating in events.
    
4. Clean up after your dog—bags are required at all events. Always bag it and pack it out.
    
5. Show respect for public trails, parks, and other members. Follow all posted park rules and maintain good trail etiquette.
    
6. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
    
7. Positive, encouraging behavior is expected from all members. We’re here to support one another in fitness and fun!
    

1. Members are expected to participate in a minimum of four club events per year to maintain active membership status and to qualify for recognition and progress tracking toward AKC Fit Dog titles.
    
2. If you register for an event and are unable to attend, please notify us in advance so we can update rosters and make space for others.
    
3. Repeated no-shows without notice may result in loss of priority access to limited-space events.
    
4. Attendance will be logged at each event to help track participation toward AKC Fit Dog titles (Bronze: 10 walks, Silver: 25, Gold: 50).
    
5. If your dog becomes ill or injured, please consult with your vet before attending any physical activity. Safety comes first.
    

1. All members must sign a liability waiver before participating in any club activities. Form below.
    
2. Major K9 reserves the right to remove any dog or handler from an event or club membership for violations of safety or conduct policies.
    

Annual Membership Fee: $150.00/year

• Club registration and AKC Fit Dog tracking materials

• Discounts on select Major K9 events and training sessions
   
• Eligibility to earn AKC Fit Dog titles through club participation

Add-on Family Member: $25/year (same household)

Swim, relax, and enjoy good food – $10 per person

8/2 – Movie Night with Your Pup
Outdoor movie night at 225 Pemberton Browns Mills Rd

9/20–9/21 – Camping Trip with Your Dog
Overnight adventure under the stars

Coming in October – AKC FAST CAT (100-Yard Dash)
Ready… Set… SPRINT! Your dog gets to run full speed in a timed, straight-line dash. Open to all breeds and sizes!
